Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ekiti State and South Senatorial Candidate in the February 23rd National Assembly elections, Senator Biodun Olujimi has said her party was reviewing the Saturday National Assembly elections results and urged supporters to be calm and law abiding.
The Minority Leader of the 8th Senate Appreciated the party faithfuls for demonstrating uncommon zeal through their votes for her and her Party, PDP. Said; “Even in the face of political molestation, intimidation and militarization you stood firm, I commend your resilience and doggedness.”
Senator Olujimi speaking through her Special Assistant on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sanya Atofarati said “the irregularities, inadequacies and daylight robbery that trailed the Saturday Presidential and National Assembly Elections is nothing but a clear reflection of a deteriorating state of a nation under the Buhari/APC-led Administration.”
When asked if she was pleased with the outcome of the elections, Atofarati said “How on earth can any sane Nigerian accept such a ruse? and we can see Nigerians already rejecting the results? It is very pathetic that President Buhari and his cohorts have, out of desperation to govern, suspended Nigeria Constitution thereby paving ways for despotism, absolutism and tyranny cum anarchy. For now, the party is currently studying and reviewing the results of the elections and in due time our stance shall be made public.” He added.
“The most annoying part is that INEC collaborated with APC to subvert the will of the people. In Ilawe Ekiti for instance, there were no elections In Ward 4, Units 13, 14 and 15 respectively, where APC thugs, reportedly, disrupted a peaceful process of election that PDP was leading with a wide clear merging, they scuffled the process of counting, destroyed the ballot boxes, flung away ballot papers and other reported cases of violence and ballots stuffing across the Senatorial District. And INEC shamelessly announced these results in favour of APC.”
