The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba has ordered the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command to immediately carry out discrete investigations into the trending video showing a Police officer harassing motorists along Kogi Expressway.
In the video, a commentary there claimed that the Policemen on the check point stopped and forced a young unidentified passengers to withdraw money form his bank account through the ATM.
The unidentified voice further alleged that the Policemen instructed the victim to ask his relatives for money which they transfered to him.
Furthermore those who challenged them were seeing being brutalised by one of the officers.
A statement signed by the Police Spokesperson, Frank Mba says the IGP also called for calm, noting that at the end of the investigations, justice will be done to the victim of the incident and police personnel found guilty will be brought to book.
