Two men have been arrested with two locally made guns in Lagos by Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS. The suspects; 20-year-old Daniel Ojoh and 27-year-old Kudus Ahmed were arrested in Lekki and Ojota, Lagos, respectively, with two locally made guns in their possession. Ahead of the Presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Lagos State has started the distributions of electoral materials to the 20 Local Government Areas, LGA. This was disclosed to journalists on Wednesday by the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Olusegun Agbaje at Central Bank of Nigeria office in Lagos  where the materials were kept. The Supreme Court of Nigeria has adjourned till March 3, 2023 for judgement in the new naira policy suit. Recall that the highest court in the country had on February 8 restrained the Federal Government from implementing the February 10 deadline for swapping the old naira notes with new ones, but the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, refused to shift the deadline. Some commercial banks in Sagamu area of Ogun State have been vandalised on Monday morning, following protests by irate youth over the lingering scarcity of Naira notes in the country. Reports say Union, Keystone Zenith and Access banks were either partly burned or destroyed.
