This is not a good time for David Adeleke aka Davido, as his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, has died at the tender age of three in his swimming pool.
The tragic death of the son of music star occured on Monday, 31 October, 2022.
Ifeanyi died by drowning at his father’s Banana Island home, but he was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor.
Report has it that the couple had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan, on Sunday, 30 October, 2022, and had left their son with his minders who could not explain how the child entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.
The boy born on October 20, 2019 by Chioma Rowland to Davido was said to have been underwater for a long time before he was noticed.
Before the tragic death, Davido had posted a video on his Instagram page where he was teaching Ifeanyi and praising his fast learning ability. “This one go learn fast,” he commented on his Instagram.
This incident is coming four years after another popular singer, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo popularly called D’Banj and his wife, Lineo Didi, lost their son in another tragic drowning incident.
The popular Nigerian singer has posted a black photo on his Instagram with the caption, “Trying times. But my God is Always and Forever Faithful.”
