The Ekiti State Government on Thursday evening said the latest case of Coronavirus in the state has died from complications.
In an update posted on the state government’s accounts on the social media, the latest case was a 75-year-old female whose sample was sent to Natonal Centre for Disease Control, NCDC laboratory earlier.
The update reads that, ”We can confirm that one (1) of the samples sent to the NCDC accredited laboratory for testing returned positive of the COVID-19 virus infection.
”The new positive case, a 75 year-old female, has died from complications of the virus.
”As at 3:30 pm on May 21, there are five (5) active cases of COVID-19 in Ekiti State.
This development brings Ekiti State to a total of 5 active case, 13 discharged, and 2
deaths.
