Many are still in shock over the carnage in the country, especially the fallout of the #EndSARS protests.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Lagos State, Yoruba Renaissance Movement & Greater Lagos Initiative said they are saddened by wanton destruction and commiserate with the victims.
This is contained in a statement jointly signed on Sunday by Solomon Ogbonna, President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State and Adeniyi Olutimehin, President, Yoruba Renaissance Movement & Greater Lagos.
The group commiserated with the government and people of Lagos State and all those affected by the crisis. It also expressed gratitude to the Ndigbo in Lagos for being good ambassadors of the law abiding Igbos and for the Yoruba for restraining themselves from fanning the tune of discord.
The groups appealed to all to sheet their swords and commended the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his response to the crisis.
The convener finally urged the affected to approach the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State Committee on compensation for assistance in this regard.
