America’s former Vice President, Joe Biden who contested under the Democratic Party has been elected as the 46th President of the country.
Biden defeated the incumbent President, Donald Trump of the Republican Party by garnering 273 electoral votes while Trump has 213.
Biden’s figure soared on Saturday, 7 November, 2020 with 20 electoral votes from Pennyslvania which brings his total to 273, three above the 270 electoral votes needed to win.
