Residents of Alakuko area of Lagos State are still living in fear following unrelenting clashes between rival cultists in the area.
The area has been thrown into confusion and panic by these group of cultists, leading to loss of lives, maiming and destruction of property belonging to innocent residents.
Sources who are among the residents say the Alakuko/Dalemo axis has been a theatre of war for the past three days.
CASEFILE gathered on Monday that nomalcy is yet to return to the axis, as an impeccable source noted, ” …. Seems the police is not able to contain the Alakuko crisis …. The current fighting spot is Alakuko and Dalemo and Lamina Ganiu ….”
Residents are calling out the Police on social media seeking urgent intervention, with messages such as “Pls follow up on this so we can give update.”, a government source seems not to have the details of the crisis for now.
In a swift reply to the source, a resident of the area, (names withheld) said of the situation, “You are eight baba, (right baba) italic ours, we can’t go out now. I live at Dalemo here. I learned the rival group has killed second in command to Confidence, the leader of Eye cult group at Dalemo.”
