It is nothing but a reward for Solomon Ukoha, 24, when the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu awarded him a 5 years full scholarship for his feat towards solving the electricity challenge in his State.
The youth earned the award for constructing an electricity sub station with crude oil and other locally sourced materials.
The scholarship will afford him the opportunity to further his education in any tertiary institution of his choice.
While receiving the innovator at his lodge in Aba, Governor Ikpeazu expressed joy over the technical ingenuity exhibited by the youth who hails from Amaekpu in Ohafia LGA, Abia State.
Following the pronouncement, the governor expressed confidence in
Abia youths, saying they can compete favourably with their international counterparts in technical education if given the opportunity.
Meanwhile Solomon Ukoha whose video went viral on the social media last week tested the electrical sub station before the Governor.
