This is not a cheering news from Niger State as it has been confirmed that unknown gunmen have kidnapped the State Commissioner for information, Sani Idris.
This was confirmed by the Secretary to the Government of Niger state, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane.
He said the commissioner was kidnapped around 1 am at his hometown, Baban Tunga in Tafa local government area.
Matane said security operatives were already on the trail of the kidnappers, saying they hope to rescue him unharmed soon.
