The palatial home of a former Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed has been taken over by Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria, AMCON, over a five billion Naira debt.
The property comprising of many building is located at the No. 9A Abdulrazaq Street, GRA, Ilorin.
According to a viral video posted by Barrister Robert on behalf of AMCON, the two terms Governor blantantly refused to liquidate his debt despite several overtures and offers.
The Enforcement team was accompanied with 35 Mobile policemen.
The AMCON team orders occupants of the buildings to vacate immediately.
According to the lawyer,, the Operation will be extended to other identified property of the ex-Governor in Abuja till he pay off his debt.
