The Social Democratic Party, SDP, National Convention with the theme: “Restoring Hope And Rebuilding The Nation” has just been concluded at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The conference was well attended and organised by the party’s National Working Committee, steered by Alh. Shehu Musa Gabam (Makaman Tilden), the National Chairman and Dr. Olu Agunloye, National Secretary.
Engr. Segun Oni, the Chairman of the National Convention & Presidential Primaries 2022 Committee ensured a resoundingly successful Convention. Alh. Ibrahim Modibo (Deputy Chairman), Barr. Joseph Achile Abu (National Legal Adviser), Amb. Rufus Ayenigba (National Publicity Secretary), Nze Clarkson Nnadi (National Treasurer), Hajiya Sa’adatu Abdullah (National Welfare Secretary), Hajiya Maggie Mariam Batubo [Speaker, Women Parliament (National Woman Leader)], Hon. Uche Chukwuma [Speaker, Youths Parliament (National Youths Leader)], Hon. Lekan Alabi (Leader, People Living With Disability) all worked to ensure a glamorous, hitch-free and successful National Convention.
Commending the event, Chief ‘Kunle Uthman, SDP Gubernatorial Candidate For Lagos State stated, “We thank them all for their competence and synergy in the discharge of their responsibilities to our great Party, the SDP.
“With the completion of the Convention, it has become imperative that all distinguished party faithful will return to our different States, local governments and wards to commence a rigorous and cerebral campaign, with a Manifesto that will reflect the theme of this Conference. It behooves on us all to propagate the message of “Restoring Hope And Rebuilding The Nation.”
“It should no longer be business as usual, but a resolve and determination that our nation be guaranteed a good, accountable, incorruptible government of a true democracy.”
“With the election of the national officers, tested and worthy, we are assured that with resilience, hard work, perseverance, determination, divine blessings and guidance, the Galloping White Horse (symbol of our party) is set to bestride the political landscape and effect a change in our national and States politics.
“Therefore, we must, as a family of good and cerebral personalities work in synergy
with one another to rebuild and stabilise our dear nation Nigeria. It is apposite to wish all participants journey mercies as we return to our various destinations by air, road or rail transportation. We pray that Almighty God will continue to shower abundant blessings on us all and our families.
