An escapee, Suleiman Sidi, who is one of inmates fleeing the Kuje Correctional Centre, Abuja has been re-arrested with drugs in his possession, CASEFILE can report.
The suspect was nabbed this morning at Area 1 Motorpark, in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja while attempting to board a commercial vehicle to Maiduguri, Borno State.
The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, arrested him following a search on him.
The suspect was caught with three wraps of cannabis sativa on Monday, a statement by the agency Spokesperson Femi Babafemi disclosed.
According to NDLEA, “During preliminary interview, the wanted terror suspect confirmed he was remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre for terrorism and robbery charges, adding that he was indeed one of the inmates who escaped from the facility last Tuesday.”
Meanwhile the Chairman of the Agency, retired Brig. Gen Buba Marwa has directed that the suspect be handed over to the Nigeria Correctional Service as soon as preliminary documentation was completed.
