Prominent contenders in the country’s forthcoming 2023 presidential election are expected to speak at the 2022 Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA.
The presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC, the Labour Party, Peter Obi, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, and the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso have been invited by the association to speak on “Democratic Transitions in 21st Century Nigeria: 2023 and Beyond.
This development has heightened interest among lawyers and other prospective participants in the 2022 Annual General Conference of the NBA.
According to the NBA, “In what is clearly a first in the history of the NBA, the Association has invited the presidential candidates of the major political parties to speak on “Democratic Transitions in 21st Century Nigeria: 2023 and Beyond”. The session, which comes after the conference opening ceremony, will afford participants a rare opportunity to interact with four presidential candidates – Bola Ahmed Tinubu (APC), Peter Obi (Labour Party), Atiku Abubakar (PDP), and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (NNPP) – just six months ahead of the election, the statement concluded.”
