The Police in Lagos have arrested one Emmanuel Aaron in the Isoto area of Meiran for vandalising a telecommunication mast.
According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the operatives of Meiran division arrested the 35-year-old suspect on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at about 3:05 am in response to a distress call about the presence of vandals at the mast.
The Police said he was found with twelve solar batteries already loaded in an operational bus, a Ford with registration number FKJ 519 YF.
Meanwhile, his conspirators who are still at large took to their heels upon sighting the policemen.
The Police says investigation is ongoing to arrest fleeing conspirators, stating further that suspect would be arraigned at the conclusion of investigations.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, commended residents for promptly alerting the authorities to suspicious person/happenings.
The Police boss assured the residents that the Command would not relent in its resolve to continually make the state safe for everyone.
