Nine suspected internet fraudsters are now in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, following their arrest in a sting operation.
Operatives of the Abuja Zonal Command of the agency arrested Bassey Sunday Junior, Samson Zachariah, Ogonyi Jeremiah, Sunday Martins, Austin Yayison and Wilson Chinaza.
Others include Emmanuel Adeyi, Samuel Mark and Emmanuel Bassey.
The suspects were arrested on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Voque Hotel in the Mararaba Area of Abuja for alleged involvement in cybercrimes.
Thirteen phones, three laptops and a Harman/Kardon music box were recovered from them.
However, they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded, a statement signed by the EFCC Spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren disclosed.
