This is not the best of times for popular musician, Panshak Zamani, alias Ice Prince, who was ordered remanded in the Nigeria Correctional Service facility, Ikoyi, on Friday.

He courted trouble when he alledgedly assaulted a police officer on duty around 3:00 a.m on Friday.

Report says trouble began when he was stopped for driving his car without a number plate.

The Oleku singer was arraigned before Magistrate T. F. Oyeniyi of the Magistrate Court 1, Ajah, following his arrest.

He was arraigned for charges bordering on assault, obstruction and abduction.

He has however denied the charges.

The Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin communicated via his Twitter handle that the musician was arrested at Lekki for allegedly driving his car without a number plate.

The PRO explained further that Ice Prince allegedly abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him into the lagoon.

The court however granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 and asked to provide two responsible sureties.

Further hearing has been adjourned till September 7, 2022.
