The man here is Madu Chukwuemeka Miracle, a 27-year-old suspect carrying in his hands what might look like soaps but mind you, they are not the regular soap for your daily needs, but are soaps-concealing cocaine.

The ‘products’ are what could be described as cases for an illicit substance called cocaine.

The exhibits were uncovered by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, during a thorough search on the suspect who arrived the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, AIIA, Enugu, from Nairobi, Kenya via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Wednesday 26th October, 2022.

The operatives of NDLEA arrested him when they discovered that one of three bags he was carrying contained 76 foreign bathing soaps made with cocaine, this is according to NDLEA’s Spokesperson Mr. Femi Babafemi on Sunday.

He added that another of his bags has two plastic bottles containing cream-like liquid, which tested positive to cocaine.

The cocaine bars weigh 10.650 kilograms while the liquid cocaine weighs 2.496 kilograms, bringing the total weight to 13.146 kilograms, Babafemi said.

Meanwhile, the village head of Gidan Abba in Bodinga local government area of Sokoto State, Abubakar Ibrahim, was also arrested in connection with illicit drugs.

He was arrested by the agency alongside 11 suspects arrested in interdiction operations across the states, in which Nine Hundred and Ninety One Thousand Three Hundred and Twenty (991,320) pills of pharmaceutical opioids and 1,251kgs of cannabis and khat as well as 46.637 kilograms of methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin.

Also, a 30-year-old bricklayer, Babatunde Quadri Mamowora was arrested on 27th October by the anti-drug agency, with the collaboration of men of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, in the Sango Ota area of Ogun State during an operation which led to the seizure of 11.90kgs Meth concealed in the heads of dried fish going to Dubai, UAE on 5th August, 2022.
