Family of late Abimbola Martins Ogbonna, have taken their concerns to the State Security, Service, DSS, in Abuja over alleged threat to life of Mrs. Folashade Samuel, elder sister to late Mrs. Abimbola Ogbonna by Ikechukwu Ogbonna cohorts.

In a copy of the petition to the Service made available to CASEFILE, on Wednesday and dated January 7, 2023 on behalf of the family, the family’s lawyer, Odiana Eriata Esq., urged the DSS to investigate this latest threat to the life of another member of the late Abimbola Martins Ogbonna family without any delay, this time Mrs. Folashade Samuel.

According to the lawyer, “We have the instructions of our client and her family, Mrs. Folashade Samuel to write this petition over the consistent threat to her life by unknown persons who operate with different names on the social media and insult her on daily basis.

“The threat is coming from Ikechukwu Ogbonna’s girlfriend Ms. Blessing Okoro A.K.A Blessing CEO and others who he commissioned to threaten her and demands that she backs down from the on-going remand and arraignment of Ikechukwu Ogbonna by the Lagos State Government through the office of the DPP (Department of Public Prosecution) for involuntary manslaughter.

Though, the embattled auto dealer, popularly known as IVD has been remanded by the magistrate court pending his arraignment for involuntary manslaughter by the office of the Director of Public Prosecution; following the suspicious death of his wife, late Mrs. Abimbola Martins Ogbonna on the 12/10/2022 in Lagos.

The lawyer noted, “Kindly find the attached documents printed out by our client containing, threats to her; life by the people who she suspects to be close to Ikechukwu Ogbonna, numbered annexure A, B, C & D respectively.

“We humbly urge you to investigate this threat to life of our client without any delay because the family lost Mrs. Abimbola Martins Ogbonna largely because of systemic failure and lack of urgent response on the part of the government institutions and the police.

“We anticipate your urgent treatment of our request and kindly revert to us once our petition is approved for investigation.

Meanwhile, the family has also copied other authorities; the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, the Director of State Security Service, Lagos State and the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP.
