Four suspected electoral offenders arrested have been handed over by Lagos State Police Command to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for prosecution.
This is according to the Police Public Relations Officers in Lagos, SP Benjamin Hundeyin on Friday.
The Police Spokesperson disclosed that out of 23 persons arrested during Presidential and National Assembly elections in Lagos State, six of them were allegedly found to be culpable for electoral and criminal acts.
SP. Hundeyin communicated that two males and two females were handed over to INEC for alleged unlawful possession of Permanent Voters’ Card, PVCs and diversion of sensitive electoral materials.
He noted that two other suspects arrested same day would be prosecuted by the police for alleged unlawful possession of firearms.
The Spokesperson said those to be prosecuted by the police were Joseph Agada and Animashaun Kabiru.
The suspects have been charged to court this morning.
