    Lagos PDP Files Petitions Against Sanwo-Olu, Gbadebo, Claimed They Were Not Qualified To Contest For Lagos Governorship Election

    The People Democratic Party, PDP, and its candidate for Lagos Governorship Mr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, also known as Jandor has filed petition against the governor-elect of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat Kadiri.

    He is claiming that the duo are not qualified to contest the election conducted by the National Independent Electoral Commission, INEC.

    Adediran petition marked EPT/LAG/GOV/01/2023 dated April 7, 2023, was filed against Sanwo-Olu, the All Progressive Congress, APC, Dr. Hamzat, INEC, and Arch. Gbadebo Patrick Rhodes-Vivour and Labour Party, as first to sixth respondent,

    According to him, the Governor, who is the second respondent was at the time of the election, not qualified to contest the election into the office of the governor held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 conducted by INEC.

    Jandor added that fifth respondent, Gbadebo declared by INEC as having scored the second highest number of votes was, at the time of the Election, not qualified to contest the election.
