The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba has ordered a speedy and full investigation into the remote and immediate cause(s) of the assault and prosecution of Afrobeat singer, Oluseun Kuti over his alleged assault on a Police officer.
This is a follow up to the order of the IGP for his arrest when he was captured in trending video.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command has been asked to arrest the son of late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Seun Kuti, who was allegedly captured on video assaulting a police officer in uniform.
The Police boss assures Nigerians that acts of contempt/disdain for symbols of authority will not be tolerated while offenders of such hideous crimes will be surely brought to book, a statement by Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi stated.
