An octogenarian, Deborah Ogo will on Thursday, April 11, 2024 be arraigned by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, for alleged human trafficking.

The suspect who is the Founder of Arrows of God Orphanage Home, allegedly involved herself in the sale of babies for cash.
Deborah Ogo, a former retired Army Colonel, is to be arraigned at the Federal High Court, Awka Judicial Division in Anambra State.
Deborah Ogo allegedly involved in selling of babies
Deborah Ogo would be arraigned on a one-count charge for buying or selling human beings for any purpose.
According to the charge filed against her, dated March 19, 2024, Ogo Chinwe Clara Deborah (F), 83 years old of 66 Awka, Onitsha, Anambra State and others (at large) on July 6th, 2023, at the above address, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, did buy and sell a baby, female, 5 (five) months old and thereby committed an offence punishable under Sections 21 Of The Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement And Administration Act, 2015.
NAPTIP spearheads prosecution against Deborah Ogo

FIJ reported that the Anambra State Command Head of the Legal and Prosecution Unit, NAPTIP, Chukwujekwu Asogwa communicated that the agency is set to prosecute the suspect.
Also, Asogwa informed FIJ, “NAPTIP has frozen the Arrows of God Orphanage’s Zenith Bank account after Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court in Awka granted an order in that regard on March 13, 2024.”
