Over 150 vulnerable elders in Lagos Island have started receiving the sum of N10,000 each from the representative of the constituency 1, Hon. Dr. Enitan Dolapo Badru as monthly medication supplementary cash support to the people.

While distributing the cash gifts to the identified elderly people across the constituency, his constituency manager who doubles as the Administrative Director, Idowu Adamson revealed that the gesture was motivated by cases of some of the elderly people that are not financially buoyant to buy the drugs.
According to him, “Some of these elderly people, identified from the ages of 80 years and above who are vulnerable are considered for the exercise.
The Honourable decided to supplement the medication expenses of the affected elderly people every month from January 2025 with the N10,000.00 cash gifts as supportive gift to address their medical problems.
Stressing further, he revealed that the Honourable has been assisting the residents with palliative measures in feeding and numerous empowerment programmes, built a modern and standard borehole to the Holy Trinity School.
He likened Hon. Badru humanitarian gestures to the late elder statesman, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
