Born on September 6, 1959, in Pankshin, Plateau State, Parradang was a man of remarkable intellect and commitment.

He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Jos and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos. A member of the prestigious National Institute, Kuru, Plateau State, and an Officer of the Federal Republic, OFR, his career was defined by excellence and unwavering service.

Nde David Shikfu Parradang dedicated over 30 years to public service within the NIS, serving across Kano, Lagos, Kwara, Enugu, and the Federal Capital Territory. His extensive experience and international training helped shape the Service into a more efficient and globally connected institution.

In a solemn and dignified farewell, the NIS honoured the former Comptroller General with a ceremonial 21-Gun salute, a tribute to his leadership, discipline, and integrity. The resounding echoes symbolised his lasting contributions and relentless efforts to strengthen the Service.

Dignitaries, colleagues, and friends gathered to celebrate his legacy, reflecting on his impactful reforms and mentorship. His tenure was marked by significant strides in institutional development, earning him the deep respect of his peers and subordinates alike.

Under the leadership of the current Comptroller General, KN Nandap, the NIS ensured that Parradang’s farewell was conducted with the honour and precision befitting his service.

The ceremony reinforced the Service’s tradition of recognising and valuing those who have dedicated their lives to its advancement.

Though Nde David Shikfu Parradang is no longer with us, his legacy endures in the institution he helped shape and the lives he impacted. The NIS stands united in gratitude for his service, bidding him a final farewell with the highest regard.
