As part of efforts to correct misconceptions and further educate the public about its unique business model, direct selling and e-commerce giant, QNET has sponsored eight West African journalists including multiple award winning reporter, Precious Igbonwelundu to this year’s V-Malaysia.

The journey which began on June 18, 2025, has seen the journalists selected from Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Sierra Leone, Guinea Conakry and Senegal touring offices, facilities and viewing the various products and services under the QI group- QNET’s parent body.

Themed “Together we rise,” the 2025 V-Malaysia, an annual convention for direct marketers, brought together over 8,000 participants from 30 countries and five regions of the world at the Spice Arena, the largest multipurpose events venue in southeast Asia.

The tour which began from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city, saw the journalists visiting the corporate headquarters of the QI group which houses QNET- a strategic move to dismiss insinuations that the company was faceless or non-existent.

From the carefully selected artefacts of revered idealists at the entrance of the corporate headquarters to well scripted customer-centric quotes of global icons pasted or engraved almost in all the floors visited, the message was clear- QNET’s business model remains one that treats the customers as kings.

The visiting media team which was lodged at the five-star Hilton Hotels in Kuala Lumpur for two days, visited iconic sites like the second tallest building in the world located at China Town; the Petronas Twin Towers and several other uniques sites that tell vivid stories of the evolution of Malaysia as a major industrial, terrorism and commercial hub.

From Kuala Lumpur, QNET moved the media junckets to Amari Spice in Penang Island, venue for the V-Malaysia event which officially kicked off on June 21 and headlined speakers such as the Deputy Chief Minister of Penang, founders of QNET, partners of the QI group, members of the board, as well as young distributors who have made commendable strides and showed impressive commitment to achieving financial independence in the right way.

Also at the event QNET unveiled its newest health and wellness innovations including Quick Focus, a new brain support supplement, and unveiled updates to QLearn, its expanding digital learning platform, which offers leadership and entrepreneurship training.

The signature Amezcua Chi Pendant 4, an energy balancer and EMF protector; the equally bestselling Amezcua Bio Disc 3 which enhances hydration and nutrient delivery, Amezcua E-Guard X  which reduces the effects of electromagnetic pollution, as well as the Amezcua Bio Light 3, biophoton therapy device for natural wellness, were all on display at the exhibition/carnival venue.

QNET’s supplements like EDGE3 PLus which supports immunity and produces glutathione; its Green Cafe and other weight loss support products; the women’s beauty and anti-ageing cosmetics as well as its luxury wristwatches and jewelries were also on display for registered distributors to make their orders.

    QNET team, journalists parley

With VIP tags clipped on the wrists of the media practitioners, they had unrestricted access to all parts of the events’ venue and were encouraged to ask questions, seek clarifications were necessary from some top management members of the company including including  Deputy Chief Executive Officer, QNET, Jean Francois Huertas; Group Chief Communications Officer, Ramya Chandrasekaran; Chief Marketing Officer for QNET,  Trevor Kuna, and Chief Legal Officer, Nikhil Patel, who were on ground and interfaced with the journalists during a press conference.

The executives clarified the differences between QI Group and QNET, outlined QNET’s “SAY NO” campaign against fraud, and highlighted tools like the WhatsApp Compliance Line (+233256630005) for reporting misconduct.

QNET’s commitment to social impact was also highlighted through the RYTHM Foundation and FinGreen, a financial literacy initiative for undeserved communities.

The media team was also taken to Ipoh, a city located about three hours from Penang which hosts the Quest International University, QIU, an institution owned by QI group. The visit to the university was a practical way of dismissing or refuting many fraudulent practices by criminally minded individuals especially across West Africa who use the name of the university to defraud unsuspecting members of the public. During the visit, the team was taken round the state-of-the-art facilities of the school including its laboratories where groundbreaking researches are conducted.

The Vice Chancellor of the university hosted the visiting team and made a presentation on the activities of the university since its creation 15 years ago, the landmark achievements, challenges and the prospects.

The familiarisation trip gave participating journalists a first-hand understanding of QNET’s operations, values, and ongoing efforts to promote ethical business in Africa and beyond.
