The original allottees of River Park Estate in Abuja and owners of JonahCapital Nigeria Limited have refuted reports linking them to a lawsuit filed against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.

The company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kojo Ansah Mensah, on Saturday, clarified that JonahCapital neither directly nor indirectly instructed anyone to commence legal proceedings against the minister.
Company disowns suit in its name
The rebuttal followed reports of a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1869/2025, purportedly filed on behalf of the company, including Common Consultant Limited by one Oluwabunmi Adebiyi, seeking a restraining order against the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA, the FCT Minister, and the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (Department of Development Control).
JonahCapital calls lawyer an impostor
In a strongly worded statement, JonahCapital revealed that it has engaged the services of S.I. Ameh, SAN, to appear in court and withdraw the action, describing Adebiyi as an impostor with no legal authority to represent the company.
The statement reads in part: “It has come to the attention of JonahCapital Nigeria Limited that one Mr. Oluwabunmi Sola Adebiyi (35 years) of Blue-Gate Solicitors, with enrolment number SCN089077, is an impostor and does not have the authority of the Board of JonahCapital Nigeria Limited to act for or represent the company in any capacity whatsoever.”
The company further alleged that Adebiyi, a lawyer associated with Paulo Homes Nigeria Limited and Paul Odili, misrepresented himself by instituting legal action in JonahCapital’s name, adding that his conduct has already been reported to the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee, LPDC, where he is facing disciplinary proceedings.
Clarification on directors and next steps
JonahCapital stressed that its legitimate directors are Mr. Samuel Esson Jonah, Mr. Kojo Mensah Ansah, and Mr. Victor Quainoo, whose details remain available as public records.
The company further assured that relevant law enforcement agencies would be notified for necessary action, reaffirming its non-involvement in any litigation against Wike or the FCDA.
“Accordingly, we make it abundantly clear that JonahCapital Nigeria Limited has not instituted any action at the Federal High Court against the Honourable Minister of the FCT, His Excellency Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, or the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA,” the statement concluded.
When contacted on Saturday, Adebiyi declined to comment, stating that he would not want to respond to a matter pending before the court.
