Crime Beat Reporting In Nigeria, a book written by the Editor-in-Chief of Atlanticnewsonline, Mr. Frank Oshanugor is to be publicly presented in a grand ceremony on Thursday 26th March, 2026.

The event scheduled to begin at 10:00a.m at the Osun Hall, Lagos Airport Hotel, located on Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja is expected to attract many dignitaries from the security, banking, maritime and other sectors of the economy.

According to the Chairman of the Book Presentation Committee, Mr. Emma Nnadozie, the Crime Editor, Vanguard Newspapers, the event would be chaired by Dr. Davidson Akhimien, a former military intelligence officer and currently the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, King David Group of Companies.

The Book would be publicly presented by a foremost industrialist, High Chief Richard Ifeanyi Agbapuru, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, RichyGold Group of Companies while the Book Reviewer is Professor Chijioke Uwasomba of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Mother of the Day is a veteran journalist and currently the Queen of Apomu Kingdom in Osun State, Olori Janet Mba Afolabi. Other dignitaries are also expected at the event.

Oshanugor, whose first book “Terrorism: The Nigeria Experience (1995-1998)” published in 2004, has been in active journalism for about 30 years with specialty in Crime Reporting. He is also versed in security related journalism having published Security Express magazine for seven years.

The book, Crime Beat Reporting In Nigeria, according to Nnadozie is a product of Frank Oshanugor’s active years in journalism with a strong bias in Crime Reporting. He posited that the book will go a long way in teaching students of Mass Communication in tertiary institutions the history of the media generally and crime reporting in particular.

A graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, Oshanugor holds a Master of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Lagos. In addition, he has a Diploma in Mass Communication from Auchi Polytechnic.

In the security space, he is a designated Certified Protection Officer, CPO, from the International Foundation for Protection Officers, Miami Florida, United States of America.

He began his journalism career as a reporter with the Post Express newspaper where he meritoriously rose to the position of Deputy News Editor before disengaging to pursue other interests in the media space.

Apart from books he has authored, Oshanugor’s company, over the years, has published several books for other authors with him as the Chief Executive Officer.
