All pupils and teachers kidnapped from Oriire in Oyo state have been rescued after 50 days in captivity.
This development was communicated by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy in a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter.
According to him, “All the abducted pupils and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have been rescued safely.
Onanuga said:“I can confirm that all the pupils and teachers abducted from Oriire in Oyo State have been rescued.”
He added that the successful rescue followed sustained, intelligence-led security operations ordered by President Bola Tinubu and commended the security agencies involved in the operation.
