The High Court in Lagos will be on 2022 Christmas vacation from December 23. The court will resume work on Tuesday, the 3rd day of January, 2023. Some yet to be identified gunmen on Monday morning launched an attack on the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Owerri, the Imo State capital. A section of the building was damaged after it was torched by a firebomb. The Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Mike Abbatam, who confirmed the incident said Police who arrived the scene killed three of the gunmen, while two firebombs were recovered. This is happening eight days after an INEC office was attacked in the Orlu Local Government Area of the state.
