The Delta State Police Command on Sunday rescued 13 passengers from the kidnappers who hijacked a 14-seater bus along Aniagala Community via Ubulu-uku express road in Aniocha South LGA. A bus load of illicit drugs were intercepted at the Mile 2 area of Lagos on Sunday, April 3, 2022 by the Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS. Preliminary investigations reveal that the drugs which were loaded in a Lagos colour LT bus, with the registration number AGL 205 YD belonged to one Alhaji, better known as General in Mushin. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA have arrested one Mrs. Remi Aluko for dealing in illicit drugs. This is a follow-up to a discovery in Oyo state, where a 17.6kg cannabis was transferred along with a suspect, Ramon Dauda to the state command of NDLEA by the Oyo/Osun Area Command of Nigerian Customs Service. Again there was pandemonium around Ojuelegba area of Lagos as another truck fell off the bridge. About three passengers were reported trapped while sympathisers are assisting them. The truck laden with a container fell over from the Ojuelegba Bridge, inbound the National stadium. A sedan vehicle was trapped underneath with eyewitnesses claiming three victims are trapped underneath. The accident was said to have occurred around 8:30p.m on Saturday night.

Justice Ayokunle Faji of a Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced a clearing and forwarding agent, Napoleon Osariemen, to 30 years imprisonment for unlawful importation of 2kg of cannabis sativa popularly called marijuana. The judge sentenced the convict after finding him guilty of the charge filed by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
