Report reaching CASEFILE says the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed has resigned.
This has however not been confirmed by official source.
Meanwhile, those who are privy to his resignation added that the number one Justice resigned on health ground.
It will be recalled that, Justice Tanko who took over from Justice Walter Onnoghen under a controversial circumstances has recently been engrossed in crisis over his alleged mismanagement of the Apex Court funds.
Although, he denied the allegation, but keen watcher argued that he might have lost the control of the Apex Court.
The petition from his brother Justices is considered a vote of no confidence in his leadership.
