    Why We Removed Sanusi Lamido Sanusi

    The Kano State Government has given reasons for removing Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as Emir of Kano State.

    A statement signed on behalf of the State Government by Secretary to the Government Alhaji Usman Alhaji stated among other things the need to maintain peace, law and order.

    According to him the deposed monarch has in the past engaged in act inimical to his position.

    According to the statement, Sanusi Lamido has flagrantly refused to attend Council meetings or obey lawful orders.
