The National Industrial Court of Nigeria, NICN, resumes activities on Tuesday after annual vacation, which lasted for seven weeks.
The vacation for NICN began on Friday, July 31, and ended Monday September 27, 2021.
Lawyers and litigants are expected to approach the court for filing processes.
Also, court activities have commenced in the Lagos State marking the new legal year where the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu applauded the Chief Judge, Justice Kazeem Alogba and the entire members of the State judiciary for the success recorded in the last legal year in spite of challenges posed by COVID-19 pandemic and the aftermath of the EndSARS protest which was hijacked by hoodlums to wreak havoc on public and private assets.
Governor Sanwo-Olu reiterated his administration’s commitment to reconstruct Igbosere High Court and renovate others courts including the digitisation project aimed at enhancing speedy dispensation of justice.
The Chief Judge of the State, Justice Kazeem Alogba, in his address, assured the people of the State of improved performance in the new legal year.
