Police have arrested a man, Peter Dike, for the alleged murder of his wife in the Morogbo area of Lagos State. He was said to have stabbed her to death.

The reason for this incident is yet to be unravelled.
However, the Police Spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin has confirmed the incident and said that the Morogbo Police Division Badagry arrested the suspect.
Unconfirmed sources alleged that the suspect stabbed his wife to death over alleged infidelity.
The 38-year-old woman was said to have been married to the man for almost a decade, while the man had suspected that his wife was cheating on him.
Sources said on the day of the incident, the husband and wife were involved in a minor disagreement which led to Dike reminding his wife of promiscuity.
In the heat of the fight, sources disclosed forcing Dike to get a kitchen knife and thrust it into his wife’s belly.
Hundeyin said that the incident happened on Wednesday at about 11.25 a.m.
According to him, a team of detectives while on patrol of the town around Oke-Ira Ilogbo Remi got the information of the incident and raced to the scene.
Hundeyin stated that the detectives at the scene met Dike holding the lifeless body of his wife soaked in her own blood crying and calling for help.
Following inspection of the body by Police officers, it was discovered that she had died and Dike was taken into custody, while the corpse was deposited at the Badagry General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
“Upon interrogation, Dike confessed to the crime and the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, for further investigation,” Hundeyin announced.
