The Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, on Friday handed over a native doctor, Obi Obieze, alias E-Dey-Play-E-Dey-Show to the Lagos State Police Command after he was arrested while attempting to flee the country through the Badagry-Seme border.
During the handover to the Police, the suspect was seen masked and restrained with both hand and leg cuffs.

Nigerian Immigration latest news today gathered that the Comptroller of Immigration for the Lagos State Command, Mr. David Adebambo, officially handed over the suspect to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos, CP Olohundare Jimoh Moshood at the State Command Headquarters in Ikeja.
Journalists who covered the handover were not allowed to interact with the suspect arrested in connection with the alleged abduction of a 13-year-old girl on May 27.
E- Dey-Play-E-Dey-Show, Apprehended by The Nigerian Immigration Service NIS
Obieze, also known as Obu Onyeka, Ezeani, and E-Dey-Play-E-Dey-Show, had earlier been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force for alleged involvement in the abduction of suspected ritual killings.
Obieze, who hails from Umuojor village in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, was arrested at about 2:00 pm on Wednesday at the Gbaji checkpoint along the Badagry-Seme Expressway by personnel of the NIS Lagos State Border Patrol Command.
The Nigerian Immigration Service News report has it that he had escaped an earlier arrest in Enugu and boarded a night bus to Mile 2, Lagos, arriving at about 10:00 am.
He later mounted a commercial Bajaj motorcycle, heading toward the Seme border before he was intercepted by NIS operatives.
According to a source, “The commercial motorcyclist had passed the immigration checkpoint at Gbaji when an officer, recognizing the suspect, ordered the rider to stop. Obieze attempted to flee, but officers quickly apprehended him and took him to the command office. He was detained in the NIS cell while the Controller of the Lagos State Border Patrol Command contacted NIS headquarters regarding the arrest.”
The Enugu State Police Command had previously confirmed the arrest of three suspects linked to the abduction — Uche Kingsley Agumba (33), Ilo Nweze Onyedikachi (36), and Ejike Odinwankpa (38).
Also, two decomposing bodies were found in a pit sealed with concrete at the residence of the fleeing native doctor.
The abducted 13-year-old girl was earlier rescued from a shrine reportedly linked to the suspect.
Police describe Obieze as a well-known traditionalist in Umuojor village, Isiagu community, where the alleged crimes occurred.
The collaboration of the Nigerian Immigration and the Nigerian Police Force is one we’ve always loved to see for a better, stronger secure border. Recall that the Nigerian Immigration Service NIS reported last month by Punchng News, where 62 Mali nationals were repatriated, and handed over to officers of the Niger Republic Police at the Birnin Konni control post. This shows that the collaboration is yielding great success.
