The All Progressives Congress, APC Chairmanship candidate for Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area, Mr. Lukman Agbaje has commended the smooth conduct of the local government elections while reaffirming his commitment to Ayobo-Ipaja development if elected.
Speaking after casting his vote at Unit 014, Agbaje lauded the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, LASIEC, for early arrival and orderliness. “So far so good, at least everything is intact. We have enough security personnel on ground, and there’s no cause for alarm,” he said.
He urged residents to come out and exercise their civic responsibility. “It’s their right to choose the candidate of their choice. I appeal to all of them to come out and do what is necessary,” he added.
Roads, healthcare top Agbaje’s agenda
Agbaje identified road infrastructure as a major concern affecting Ayobo-Ipaja development. “The linked roads are the major problem. We’ll pick up from where the present administration ends and continue from there,” he stated.
He also promised to revamp and equip all existing primary healthcare centres across the council, adding that seven centres are functional while one is still under construction.
“We will make sure we equip all these centres so that they will be useful for the public,” Agbaje assured, tying his plans to the broader goal of inclusive Ayobo-Ipaja development.
Interventions ongoing in affected areas
Responding to concerns about road conditions in areas like Sabo, the APC candidate confirmed that short-term solutions were being implemented. “Some of the roads are state roads. For others, we are trying to use pallets to make them more durable for the community,” he explained.

Agbaje pledged to improve the quality of roads as part of his long-term commitment to Ayobo-Ipaja development, promising to build on the existing structures set by the outgoing administration.
Confidence in the process
Agbaje expressed full confidence in the electoral process and praised the coordination between LASIEC officials and security agencies. “There’s nothing threatening so far,” he noted, encouraging greater voter turn-out.
