President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of Speaker of House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as Chief of Staff, and Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, as Deputy Chief of Staff. The announcement was communicated on Friday in a statement by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director Information. The announcement came on the heels of his meeting with Progressives Governors Forum, PGF, where the President named former Governor of Benue State and immediate past Minister of Special Duties, George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.

Osun State High Court judge, Justice Oyebola Ojo, has sentenced Dr. Rahman Adedoyin, to death by hanging. Sentenced to death alongside the convict are Adeniyi Aderogba, and Oyetunde Kazeem. The State Chief judge handed down the judgement to the owner of Hilton Hotel Ile-Ile, Osun State, on Tuesday having found him culpable of murder of Timothy Adegoke, a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University.
