The Academic Staff Union of University, ASUU, has suspended its eight-month-old industrial action conditionally, a member of the union’s National Executive Committee has disclosed on Friday. The union decided to suspend the strike during a meeting of its leadership that started on Thursday night and lasted into the early hours of Friday. A 26-year-old drug dealer, Matthew Bobby Imonitie, has been convicted and sentenced to seven years imprisonment for unlawfully being in possession of 4.033 kilograms of a banned substance, Methamphetamine. This is the judgement by Justice Daniel Osiagor, of a Lagos Federal High Court in Lagos.
