The Headquarters, 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, NA, Ikeja, has emerged overall winner in the just concluded 2022 81 Division Inter-Brigade Warrant Officers and Senior Non Commissioned Officers Competition. The competition was held at Lt. Adekunle Abiodun Aderibigbe, a fraudster, has been jailed for two years by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Lagos State Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja over retention of crime proceeds. Trouble began for the convict when the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, reported to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, that the convict is a member of a syndicate operating in the US and specialised in the stealing of US citizens’ data to obtain fraudulent tax returns from the Internal Revenue Service, IRS. The Nigerian Navy, NN, has said it has recorded 50 per cent success in the ongoing charting and survey of Rivers Niger and Benue by its hydrographic team. The Hydrographer of the NN, Rear Admiral Chukwuemeka Okafor, disclosed this on Tuesday at a press briefing held at Western Naval Command, as part of event to flag off the 2022 World Hydrography Day in Nigeria, WHD.
