A Federal High Court, in Abuja has granted bail to former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha. Justice Inyang Ekwo granted his application for bail on Tuesday. An INTERPOL-led operation targeting malware cyber fraud across Southeast Asia leads to the Nigeria arrest of three suspected global scammers. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, arrested the suspects in a sting operation conducted simultaneously in a Lagos suburb called Ajegunle and in Benin City, 300 km to the East of the commercial capital. A wanted suspected drug kingpin allegedly behind the 2000.6kg Cannabis Sativa seized in a concrete mixer truck in Adamawa State on December 2021, Henry Chukwuneku Okamaru (alias Lawrence Ik Okamaru) has been arrested in Ondo State. A statement from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, says his arrest is coming after five months of manhunt. Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, have arrested four suspects for extorting motorists in the State while posing as officials of the disbanded Lagos State Committee on the Removal of Abandoned Vehicles, RAVC.
