Some customers of Wema Bank have accused the financial institution of conducting illegal banking practice in Nigeria. They said they discovered that the bank and its agents had allegedly been opening unauthorised accounts for customers with information or data in the bank’s possession. A dismissed policeman, Mohammed Alidu has been jailed for life on Monday for having sex with a nine-year old girl. The convict was sentenced to life imprisonment by Justice Abiola Soladoye of an Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court. The trial judge, Justice Soladoye, handed down the judgement after convicting him for defilement of a girl inside a barrack.
