A certain Sodiq alias Foreigner was recently released from prison, but old habit die hard as he was involved in another robbery Operations somewhere in Apapa area of Lagos, but he did not live to tell the story as Police eliminated him and Habeeb alias Kiki.
A statement signed by the Lagos Police Command Spokesperson, SP. Benjamin Hundeyin says the daredevil robbers engaged operatives of Area B Apapa of the Lagos State Police Command in a gun duel in a bid to escape arrest.
The robbers, however, fell to the superior firepower of the police operatives.
Benjamin said the robbers, Sodiq recently released from prison and Habeeb who have both been wanted for terrorising Ajegunle and environs were trailed to their hideout in Ajegunle, where they met their waterloo.
According to him, one Beretta pistol, one locally made revolver pistol with four rounds of 9mm live ammunition and one expended shell of ammunition were recovered from the robbers.
Benjamin quoted the Lagos State Police Command urging youths in particular to desist from crimes, as the long arm of the law will always catch up with criminals, no matter how long it takes.
