Chukuwuememe Onwuamadike also known as Evans has been found guilty of charge of conspiracy and kidnapping pressed against him and two other members of his gang have been convicted accordingly. They are however awaiting sentencing. The fate of Evans, and his gang were decided by Justice Hakeem Oshodi of a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja. The defendants who had earlier denied a two-count charge of kidnapping and conspiracy preferred against them. The Lagos State Government had re-arraigned the defendants on 19th October, 2017 arraigned. The Lagos State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, says its Marine unit on Sunday arrested nine Ghanians who couriered 201 bags of Cannibalis Sativa into the Nigeria.
