Royal Navy patrol ship HMS Trent is setting sail to the waters of the Gulf of Guinea as she heads for security patrols and a mission to support allies in West Africa. The social networking sites founder, Mark Zuckerberg on his page, apologised for the downtime experienced by users of the services. Major social media services including Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp were hit by a massive outage on Monday, tracking sites showed, impacting potentially tens of millions of users. Outage tracker Downdetector was showing outages in heavily populated areas like Washington and Paris, with problems being reported from around 1545 GMT. Users trying to access Facebook in affected areas were greeted with the message. Responding, the microblogging site confirmed the incident “Something went wrong. Two suspected kidnappers have been arrested by the Police in Ogun State while trying to collect ransom money on a seven-year-old boy. DSP.
