The level of insecurity in Anambra State is assuming an alarming situation with attack on policemen and civilians on Thursday. Just two days after the gruesome murder of late Professor Dora Akunyili’s widower, Dr. Chike and eight other persons, unknown gunmen have attacked Ajali Police station in Anambra. Both Policemen and civilians were killed while others were trapped in the building. It took a combined efforts of the youths in the community to rescue those trapped while the fire was still raging.

Thirty-eight years old man, Seun Aina has been sentenced to 25 years imprisonment without the option of fine for defiling a 15-month old baby. Justice Abiola Soladoye of the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court on September 28, 2021 convicted and sentenced the convict to 25 years imprisonment on defilement of the 15 month-old minor in Lagos in the suit ID/7592C/2018.
