Following the confirmation of two cases of COVID19 in Offa, Kwara State government is now compelled to effect a total shutdown of the ancient town to contain communal transmission of Coronavirus in order to save people’s lives. In a bid to achieve safety of lives in the State, an order to shutdown the State will become effective at 6pm local time today. The number of Coronavirus cases climbed to 190 in Nigeria on Friday according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC. In its updated figures, as at the time of filing this report, the agency stated that there are 190 COVID-19 confirmed cases in Nigeria. So far the country has recorded two deaths and 20 discharged.
