Medical workers in Lagos are raising alarm over the risk they are expose to during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sources who want to remain anonymous at Ifako-Ijaiye and Igando General Hospitals are not happy with their managements’ attitude to safety in the course of their duty.

Specifically at Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital, they claimed that there were no sufficient protective kits for the health workers.

At Igando General Hospital, a female patient was confirmed to be positive for Coronavirus.

A report from LASUTH where she was referred to, confirmed this, but the health workers are apprehensive that most of them had contact with the woman while in labour, her two year old baby is also on admission there raising their fears of infecting medical workers.

We made a call to the State Commissioner of Health Professor Akin Abayomi and his aide who picked the call told us the matter will be looked into.
