    Man 82 Kills Wife He Is Married To For 50 Years In Imo

    Sadly a-82 years old Theophilus Okere, a retired Director General of Imo State Broadcasting Corporation arrested for allegedly killing his wife Mrs. Beatrice Okere in Imerienwe community in the Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State.

    According to cornerstone News, the Imerenwe community in Ngor–Okpala council area of Imo State was thrown into mourning as the former Director-General of Imo Broadcasting Corporation, Sir T.C Okere allegedly stabbed his wife of 50 years of marriage to death.

    The deceased wife was a retiree of the Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo.

    It was gathered that on Monday from a community source the Okere 85, has been suffering from dementia and that most times he is not aware of his actions.

    The sources who do not want his name in the print as he is not supposed to speak on behalf of the family disclosed that the family of the octogenarian has been managing his illness for some time now.

    According to the source:” Sir Okere has been down with dementia and the family has been managing the problem and even today that he stabbed his wife to death who is in her seventies when he was asked why he had done that he simply told them that his wife was still sleeping which means that he doesn’t know what he has done.

    Imo state police public relations officer, SP Orlando Ikeokwu who confirmed the ugly incident said that the police would soon commence
