A gas plant explosion has left five victims burnt to death in Candos Road, Baruwa area of Ipaja, Lagos.
Three persons including a woman and two kids have been injured while 44 buildings were destroyed Thursday morning.
Preliminary assessment further revealed a school, an event centre, 89 shops, a church, a tricycle, gas tankers, 23 electric poles, two transformers and a motorcycle were all affected in the incident.
Eyewitness report says that at about 20 minutes to 6a.m, at Candos Road, Baruwa-Inside, Lagos, a LPG tanker was in the process of discharging at the Best Roof plant station and the station generator was on and from where it was reported that explosion erupted.
The explosion threw the discharging tanker across the road leaving destruction of lives and properties.
